Anyway, to continue with the story, we accepted a very low trade in value for the vehicle after we found out it was in an accident. We were disappointed to have been deceived by The Thompson Organization, Thompson Toyota specifically. I mean, when you ask if it was in an accident and you're presented with a CarFax, you'd think it's safe, right? Also, did I mention that the truck was certified?
Nonetheless, back at the Honda dealership, my one-year old son was getting tired and my pregnant wife was exhausted. Although the retail value is near $10,000 (trade in value was approximately $7,000), I accepted $3,800. And I had to negotiate to get that! After all, the 4Runner didn't even have a clean title.
