Carfax from Thompson Toyota

Below is the carfax Thompson Toyota gave me when I purchased the 1999 Toyota 4Runner. As you can see, the carfax states that the vehicle had never been in an accident.

Guess what, I bought it as a certified vehicle. When I inquired about this recently, Greg McCahill, a Thompson salesperson, said that they knew it had been in an accident. The VIN numbers on the parts don't even match. Of course, when we asked about this at the time of the purchase, they claimed that it hadn't been.
